Baptism is our first spiritual and formal introduction to the church. At St. Mary, your child is “welcome with great joy" as she/he is united with Christ and given a share in His saving ministry. It is through this first sacrament that your child receives sanctifying grace and truly becomes a child of the Lord and a living temple of the Holy Spirit.

As your son or daughter is incorporated into the Church, she/he is washed of the sinfulness all humans share and made holy in God’s sight. And it is inherent in this sacrament that the Christian community is prepared to walk with you in nurturing your child’s Catholic faith.

Baptisms take place on Sundays at 12:30 pm (1:00PM during July and August). Preparation Sessions are set up through Fr. John.

We ask that you call the Parish Office at 508.228.0100 to register for Parents’ Preparation Class before the Baptism of your child.
