At every Mass, we recreate the Last Supper where Jesus brought the disciples together to break bread and drink of the cup that becomes His Most Precious Body and Blood. Jesus left us this gift so that we might be physically and spiritually nourished.

First Communion is, obviously, our introduction to receiving the bread of life. Christ, who is truly present in the Sacrament - body, blood, soul – is spiritually celebrated and remembered. We welcome our new Communicants and, together with them as a community, honor and break bread and eat together.

First Communion 2026 Congratulations to our 28 children who celebrated their First Communion on Saturday, May 2. It was a beautiful and joyful day for them and for their families. Thank you to everyone who made it such a wonderful First Communion Mass and thank you to Cecilia Gutierrez, our Director of Religious Ed. Photos by Pixel Perfect Nantucket.
